Bicentennial Park |
What you should know
Once used as part of the
seaport, and later to house the Miami Grand Prix, the Bicentennial
Park is currently under-utilized. It is considered the last, best
opportunity to create a top-quality public environment. The Miami City
Commission is committed to the renewal of the Park, hoping to return
Bicentennial Park to a “premier public park". The preferred
plan for the park is the “cultural park” scenario –
a blend of museums, restaurants, and public open space. Two major
Miami museums are scheduled to relocate to the Park.
