Forbes has announced that Google is releasing a payments and certification service named GBuy on June 28. GBuy will process orders on Google’s domain, similar to PayPal processing, and send the user back to the requesting after the transaction complete.
According to the Forbes article, Merchants enrolled in the program will receive free payment processing during the beta period and charged a fee of 1.5% to 2% after the beta period expires.
PayPal charges 2.9%+ 30 cents per transaction for payments taken here at MiamiBeach411. We will be hard pressed not to jump ship.
RBC Capital Markets maintained an “outperform” rating on Google in light of the impending release of GBuy.
