But those people who criticize him have not met the real Pitbull, Armando Christian Pérez. Or as some like to call him, Mr. 305. He is not only more loyal to this city than any of his critics, he is also the most accessible. On Wednesday, during a Winter Music Conference panel at the Eden Roc hotel on Miami Beach, he spent more than 90 minutes answering questions from his fans, most who were in the music industry from some other part of the world. Pitbull gave them all an opportunity most could only dream for; he told them to drop off their CD and he would promise to listen to it. And from there, anything is possible. Sitting next to him on the panel was longtime Power 96 icon DJ Laz, who is one of Pitbull’s closest friends. Both of them made Miami proud. Pitbull is performing tonight at The Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theater on Miami Beach. Now check out Pitbull’s improvised rap dedicated to Miami Beach 411. And check out the video below where Pitbull describes what sets Miami apart from the other cities he tours.
