Miami Ink on TLC
The Learning Channel (TLC) has set up shop in Miami Beach to take viewers inside the world of tattoo artistry in Miami Ink. "In the series, a motley crew of best friends open and run a custom tattoo parlor. The resident artists — Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver and Darren Brass — live and work together to promote the art of tattooing while running a new business."
In addition to spotlighting the artists at work, each tattoo in Miami Ink has a story to tell.
Many people get tattoos to signify some pivotal moment or event in their lives. The show will offer insight into each Miami Ink customer and the impetus behind his or her choice of artwork.
The show premieres on Tuesday, July 19, at 10pm on TLC.

The show is definitly a hit, no matter what the reviews say in comparasion to the other tattoo show on AMC. The guys not only are talented but they show the emotional attachments people have with their tattoos. Ami has a strong personality, but his passion is shown through his work. Chris Gaver is like the father of the guys, he is wise and his experience and knowledge is oftened seeked by the guys to learn more because there is always something new to learn. Darren is a big teddy bear, you just want to go and hug him, being tattooed by him will make you feel comfortable, Yoji is quickly learning and he is putting in his part in either helping or just being there. Keep up the good job yoji and I hope everything is well wit your wife and baby. Ami, chill out wit Yoji! lol last but not least chris. what can I say, on tv you attract people because of your friendlyness and warmth we see from you. I can see you passion of art through your eyes and I hope to see more of that. Well boys good luck, be safe and keep up the good work

Id really like to find out how to get ahold of the chick replacement tattoo artist for info on her prices?
Im really into traditional tattoo art, and I want to find someone I trust to do a Marilyn Monroe realistic pinup. I worked at ink link tattoos in nc, and recently moved back to florida. im looking for a respectable tattoo shop to make that a carrer. i feel at home when im around people who tattoo and have amazing tattoos.
can anyone tell me how i can get ahold of her?
please email me at xthisxisxlove@peoplepc.com
thanks,

I LOVE Miami Ink! I am fascinating with the art of tattooing, and cannot
help but to appreciate REAL artists like these guys.
I am REALLY impressed with Ami & Chris, they are TRUE artists and it is
such a pleasure to see them in action.
I wish I could meet them in person and hang out... too bad I don't live in
Miami anymore.
You guys rock!

PS: I feel sorry for Ami's dog...

I happened to catch the first episode of "Miami Ink" as a happy accident. So thoroughly did I enjoy the interaction between the artists, themselves and with the clients it has now become one of the few shows that are on my "must watch" list.
I was hoping, when I watched "Inked" that it would be as great a show. Unfortunately, it is not. They showcase more of the office drama than any real talent with the needle. They may be in a so called "upscale" office but I find their clientele are people that I really cannot relate too. Too much arrogance for my taste all around.
Anyway, as a Floridian I'm encouraged that such a great show which is seemingly down to earth is being filmed here in the Sunshine state.
Keep up the great work guys! I'm looking forward to Season 2!
PS- Let the viewers know when it's coming to DVD! ;)
Much sucess to y'all. |

who cares about their attitudes? personally i like it! ami definatly reminds me of myself.. and i get a kick out of it... if u dont like it, dont watch! there are plenty more like me who wouldnt have it any other way!!
but i agree with a lot of you, they are definatly talented guys and i would definatly pee myself if i could get one of them to do a tattoo for me.. im on #6 right now.. and going in for the seventh in a few weeks... i have plans laid out for the next seven as well... who knows if i'll stop there or not =P but god knows their waiting list is probably long enough, i wouldnt get in there until i was 40... i'd wait tho
but definatly a good show.. i have friends that do tattoo's and i love to see somebody so passionate about their work, and have a good time doin it. |

I loved the show, my friends and I watched it last night and I actually liked it much more than the other show "inked"
Miami Ink's clientele were much more diverse and interesting than Inked's, which seems to be kind of a "dream come true" upscale tattoo business... the problem is that the flavor of the neighborhood tattoo shop can never be found on an upscale expensive hotel's lobby.... South Beach is the perfect place for a shop, in fact there's like three per block! WHERE ELSE will you find a guy whose a cross-dresser wanting a tattoo of himself in drag???? and may I say, SHE's GORGEOUS! and he's hot too. YEAH some of the guys are arrogant, but so are most tattoo artists... and at least they can back it up! not like that Dizzle kid, puhleeeez! the last thing I want is a wanna be who can't deliver.
Miami Ink ROCKS! |

Just wanted you to see what comments were made by other professionals (sign artists) about the show after the premier run. http://www.letterhead.com/ubb/index.html
I don't think they really impressed a lot of people with their arrogance and demanding style. There are enough egotistical pricks on reality shows already; we don't need or want more. |
