Barton G’s VIP Party at the Moore Building (Pictures)
Last night, Barton G. hosted a kick off party at the Moore Building and Garden Lounge. Michelle, Doug, and I attended. The party was super cool. The invitation, asked us to “stretch our imagination”, and that’s what we did (see: party pictures).
They highlight the “seamless” part by adding a new architectural structure to the Moore building that connects the second and third floors of the space. And to really send home the “seamless” message, Barton has 2 performance artists on staff, who roam through the building connected to each other by 100 ft’ long cloth arm restraints. Barton calls it a ‘‘funky, Soho-esque’’ space. The four-story, 18,000-square-foot venue can handle 2,400 for receptions, 1,150 for sit-downs, he said. We got a chance to meet Barton, and he is a warm and friendly guy. I expected someone more dramatic, but he was down to earth. We almost didn’t go, but I’m very happy we did. If you get invited to a Barton. G event, don’t pass it up. Our hosts spared no expense. Drinks flowed freely, and there was plenty of food on every floor. I didn’t eat much, but the food stations looked off the chain. I want to thank, Raymond, from Barton G. for inviting us. Did you attend the party? Please share your experience in the comments below. Barton G., is the official planner and caterer for parties in the building, atrium and garden at 4040 NE Second Ave. For bookings and inquires, call (305) 576-8888.

Michelle says:
Well, I was amazed at the space. It reminded me of a NY Nightclub - except brighter. I loved how the DJ booth moved from floor to floor.
I didn’t eat too much food but there was a spread of meat and cheese that was deliciois. One of the other tables looked like it contained seafood salads. Above the food station, there were glass jars full of liquid like roasted red pepper, coconut, and mango. I wish I had asked what they were for.
For something unique, there was a tuna and salmon bar - the seafood was cooked on dry ice. I had never seen that before.
My favorite, being the dessert lover that I am, was the dessert station. The martini glass I chose had a skewer of brownie, marshmallow, and cherry. To fill the glass, a non-alcohoclic, chcolate milkshake - YUM!
Wine was good, music was awesome, company fantastic. I love to party!
