Best Beaches in South Florida

The Sun-Sentinel recently asked their readers, “what are the best beaches in South Florida”. Here are the results:

1. Fort Lauderdale Beach
  2. Miami Beach
  3. Deerfield Beach
  4. Hollywood Beach & Boardwalk
  5. Haulover Park Beach
  6. Delray Municipal Beach
  7. Red Reef Park- Boca Raton
  8. Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach
  9. Pompano Beach
  10. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park- Key Biscayne

StuckonthePalmetto smells a conspiracy:

“Can I be the first to say “heavily influenced by the Sun-Sentinel’s Broward and Palm Beach County readership? When you see Cape Florida State Park down at #10 of a local beach list when it consistently finishes in the Top 10 nationally, you know the results are skewered screwed skewed.”

Their best beach list does seem to favour beaches north of Miami-Dade.
