Elisabeth Donovan Says She’ll Quit Blogging For Miami Herald

South Florida blog pioneer, Elisabeth Donovan, author of the “Infomaniac” has decided to quit blogging for the Miami Herald:

“Notice this blog is no longer showing up on the list of Miami Herald blogs on MiamiHerald.com. It’s still here now, though, so I guess it’s time to post a goodbye to regular readers.

I loved being part of the conversation, but now that it’s off the ground it will continue without me. My part-time work for the Miami Herald is finished, so it seems to be time for the blog to finish too.”

Elisabeth was a forerunner in the local blog community. She helped define the Miami blogosphere. I am curious why the Herald removed her site from the list of Miami Herald blogs.

The blog at MiamiHerald.com wasn’t her first. She started blogging in fall 2000, with her personal website: (Infomaniac) Behind the News. That is the website we recommended so, you can still find Elizabeth there.
