Florida Crime Rates

Florida’s Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announced the crime rate throughout the state has decreased 3.3 percent in the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2004, a decline of almost 10,000 crimes.

Crime in Florida has been dropping for more than a decade and at the end of 2004 had fallen to the lowest rate in 34 years.
