I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (11/22-11/27)Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s what’s going on… First and foremost, it’s White Party Week! Yes, it’s after Labor Day, but get out those whites and party like it’s 1999 for a good cause! (Did anyone really party more in 1999 than any other year?) In honor of the the holidays, on Thursday, there’s the Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade in North Miami and Nuevo Latino Thanksgiving dinner at Ola. Also, the Holiday Village theme park has opened at Miami International Mall and will remain open through New Years. This is one of the biggest movie weekends of the year. Get in line for the newest blockbusters or check out The Shining (Fri), Sentenced to Marriage (Sat), or Lolita (Mon) at Miami Beach Cinematheque. And, I’ll remind you again next week, the Miami Short Film Festival starts on Monday and runs through Saturday, December 2. It’s also a big music week. On Friday, Aerosmith and Motley Crue will be at the Sound Advice Amphitheatre and Ziggy Marley will be at Revolution in Ft Lauderdale. 93 Rock presents Christmas Khaos 2006 at Bicentennial Park on Saturday, which is supposed to feature Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, Saliva, Army of Anyone, and more. For the more faint at heart, Marie Osmond’s Magic of Christmas is at the BankAtlantic Center (Sat) and a Chamber Music Concert featuring Ibis Camerata is at the All Saints Episcopal Church of Ft Lauderdale (Sun). Visit the Event Calendar to view ongoing exhibits and theater events and the Nightlife section for weekly happy hours and parties. Want to see your event listed? Submit it here!
