I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (7/4 - 7/9)Happy 4th of July! Celebrations of this momentous day in US history are happening in: Miami Beach, South Miami, Key Biscayne, Bayfront Park, Coconut Grove, and Homestead. There are more at the Barnacle State Historic Site, Doubletree Surfcomber, and Sound Advice Amphitheatre. Later in the week, the Summer Shorts Festival at Carnival Center’s Studio Theater ends Sunday (7/9) so see it while you can! Shorts for Kids will be at Flamingo Park and the American Idol tour will arrive at the BankAtlantic Center Friday (7/6). Friday is also the kick-off of the International Hispanic Theatre Festival which runs through July 29th. This weekend’s performance is LA OMISIÓN DE LA FAMILIA COLEMAN (The Coleman Family’s Omission) at the Miracle Theater in Coral Gables. Saturday (7/7) brings a celebration of Argentine Independence Day by the Tango Times Dance Company at the Manuel Artime Theater, DJ Sammy Jo of the Scissor Sisters to The Pawn Shop Lounge, and DJ Bob Sinclair to Mansion. Hi Laurie, thanks for all these great suggestions on what’s happening today. I though you might be interested in some of these 4th of July cooking recipes that was posted on Mango & Lime . Critical Miami has a list of things to do, and our friends at Stuck on the Palmetto have a 4th of July round up as well.
