I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (8/23-8/25)
I’ve been spending more time than usual on the Event Calendar this week and have lots more to add! Check it out (and check back often) to see all the exciting events coming up as well as the ongoing museum exhibits, plays and happy hours currently going on. For those of you looking for a bar that won’t take its toll on your wallet or your ego (although some of you guys will take a hit anywhere you go!!!!), read Matt Melzer’s latest article. Here are the highlights for this weekend: Tonight (Thursday) the Wolfsonian, as part of their Colonial Legacies in African Film summer series, is showing an Ethiopian film Blood Is Not Fresh Water. Or how about a party? Mokai is having their monthly I’m Rich B$$$H bash, the DJ Mash-Up Battle of the Sexes continues at Club Dream, and it’s Latino Night at Santo. Friday Latin Grammy Award winner Marco Antonio Solis is at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Saturday the Miami Dolphins play their last NFL preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (their first home game of the season is September 16th against the Dallas Cowboys). Jazz saxophonist Boney James is in concert at the Kravis Center and guitarist Niño Josele will be in concert at the Gusman Center. For all you party goers, the Summer Splash Wet Fete (drinks are included with admission) at Bayside Hut should be a blast! Am I STILL missing your event? Then you haven’t sent it! Send it to me now.
