I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (AVP Pro Beach Volleyball weekend)

The season is starting to wind down but the festivals continue this weekend…The Miami Beach Dance Festival is still going on around town through this weekend, and the Sicilian Film Festival of Miami is just beginning at the Cinematheque.

Volleyball or soccer anyone? The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Open will take place on South Beach or catch the Miami FC’s first home game of the season.

If you want to take in a show, Margaret Cho is at the Fillmore Miami Beach with Liam Sullivan and Kelly. You’ll find Todd Rundgren there a couple days later. Rush will be at the BankAtlantic Center and Colombian rocker Juanes will be at the AA Arena.

At the Arsht Center, Forbidden Broadway continues, La bohème begins, Flamenco singer Falete will appear live in concert, and the last FREE and open to the public Target Globalbeat of the season takes place in the Plaza for the Arts.

If it’s always been a dream of yours to climb the stairs to the top of the Wachovia Financial Center, Climb Miami is for you! It’s for a good cause.

The only special event I’ve heard about at the clubs as of today is the Victoria’s Secret 2008 Swim Collection Party taking place at mokai Friday night, but visit the Event Calendar for the latest info.
