I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (Langerado and Carnaval on the Mile Weekend)The 2008 Langerado Music Festival is a four day festival running Thursday (3/6) - Sunday (3/9) in the Everglades. The festival will feature The Wailers, REM, Arrested Development, the Beastie Boys, our local SPAM Allstars, and many, many, many more. The Carnaval on the Mile promises plenty of fun for the whole family Friday (3/7) through Sunday. Other family friendly events this weekend include a free concert of counting songs for kids at the Coral Gables Library, and Target Globalbeat at the Adrienne Arsht Center (formerly the Carnival Center). In film, the Miami International Film Festival continues; the MGLFF presents XXY at the Gusman Center; and the Cinematheque will show Peter Greenaway’s film A Zed and Two Noughts (aka ZOO) Friday, and Miami Underground Film Festival features the rest of the weekend. On stage, Spamalot is at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the rest of the week and Bernadette Peters will be there in the Ziff Ballet Opera House; Lord of the Dance is at the Broward Center; Blue Man Group and RBD are at the AmericanAirlines Arena; the 1st Annual Miami Bash is at the BankUnited Center; and Diana Ross will be at the BankAtlantic Center.
