I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (NASCAR, Charity, Soulfrito)

For all you racing fans, as if you don’t already know, NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend. Races will be going on Friday (11/16) - Sunday (11/18). You car fans might also appreciate the South Florida International Auto Show continuing through Sunday at the Convention Center.

Want to have some fun for a good cause? Thursday (11/15) there’s a Neighbors 4 Neighbors Benefit, sponsored by Heineken USA, at Chevy’s. The new Bonefish Grill in Coral Gables is hosting a public charity night for Neat Stuff on Saturday (11/17). Fall into Fashion with guest speaker Dave Barry, to benefit Kids Hope United, at Parrot Jungle on Sunday.

At the theaters you’ll find medEia at the Carnival Center Wednesday (11/14) through Saturday; Sekou Sundiata’s 51st (dream) state Friday and Saturday at the Colony Theater; Youssou N’Dour and the Super Etoile of Dakar at the Gusman Center and Deborah Harry at the Fillmore Miami Beach on Friday; and Melissa Etheridge at Hard Rock Live Saturday. Don’t forget the Radio City Christmas Spectacular will be going on for a couple more weeks at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Looking for something else? How about fashion and fun with Shecky’s Girls Night Out at the Moore Building or a Winemaker Dinner with Catena Zapata Wines at Azul Thursday? The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will be having a Ramble Festival Saturday and Sunday. Parties on Saturday include Paul Oakenfold at Mansion and Habana Abierta at La Covacha. If that’s not enough for you, check out
Soulfrito, the Urban Latin Music Festival, at Bayfront Park all day Sunday.
