Music

Bajofondo is at the Fillmore Miami Beach. Alanis Morissette will be at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The hit musical Hairspray is also at the Broward Center. Jazz and Beyond is the theme for this week’s performances at Festival Miami. Vicente Fernández will be at the AA Arena.

Film

At the Cinematheque, Claude Chabrol’s 1960 film Les Bonnes Femmes (The Good Girls) and documentary Trouble the Water. The Miami and Ft Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festivals are showing Saturn in Opposition and A Year Without Love.  Or enjoy a Movie in the Park at Normandy Isle Park (the name of the film can’t be advertised so you’ll need to call yourself).

Tours

The Historical Museum of Southern Florida is offering a Matheson Hammock Eco-history Walking Tour as well as a Mystery, Mayhem & Vice Crime Coach Tour.

Nightlife

Parties that may be of interest include: Fetish Lapdance Tuesday at Prive; Betty Ford Bingo with Shelley Novak at Halo Lounge; JAM at MAM’s Oktoberfest; Indian Summer at Grass; Una Noche de Tango at Sazon Cuban Cuisine; Grand Opening of the Living Room Night Club in Ft Lauderdale (this one may be worth the trip); DJ Miguel Migs at SET; DJs Angello & Ingrosso at Mansion.
