In an effort to bring the community more news and information about Miami Beach, City officals are launching MB magazine (PDF), a new bi-monthly, bi-lingual publication that will be mailed to all residents. The premiere issue includes the latest on a Planned Progress project and the cultural arts scene; tips on micro gardening and how to stay fit.

The City conducted a survey earlier this year which indicated that 38 percent of the community felt that the amount of information received from the City was too little.

Someone should point out to our civic leaders a PDF download is not the best way to inform the citizens. I wonder if they know how many locals are blogging.
