Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam is a singer and artist from Sri Lankan origin. She is best known by her stage name, M.I.A.. Her style contains elements of grime, hip-hop, ragga, dancehall, electro, and baile funk. Critical Miami has broken the news that although M.I.A. is comfortable biting on the name of our City’s airport, she won’t be performing anywhere near Miami on her upcoming tour.
