Miami Libraries Offer Laptops & Wireless Internet

40 branches of the Miami-Dade Public Library System have gone wireless, enabling cardholders to surf the Internet on one of 420 new laptops that will be loaned out.

To use one of the new laptops, sign up for a library card, present it at the circulation desk, get a computer and log on. The laptops are loaned out in one-hour intervals.

Visitors also can bring their own laptops and log into the wireless network.
