Are You Looking For Miami411? We’re Right Here!

It’s been said imitation is the highest form of flattery, but trickery and deception are an entirely different case.

It’s come to our attention that some unscrupulous copycats are registering domain names similar to MiamiBeach411 and trying to misdirect people searching for our website!

HMPH!  Imagine that.

Wikipedia calls this: Typosquatting.  Basically, these bozos are trying to capitalize on our reputation by sending people to junk websites that contain pop-up ads and spyware.  But since we enjoy what we do and want to spare our readers the spyware drama, we’re not taking this sitting down!

Due to the seriousness of the matter, we have contacted an attorney and are aggressively pursuing legal action.

As a way to remedy the obscurification, we have started a wiki and created a subdomain: Miami411.MiamiBeach411.com (Sorry about all the “Miami’s” and “411’s”, but it’s the best thing we can do thanks to these spammers).

We’ve created a Custom Search Engine for the Miami411 website and are only including other local sites that provide a high-level of quality content. You know, the stuff we read.

It’s hard to ‘teach an old dog new tricks,’ so for the people who think the name of our company is Miami411, you can go ahead and keep calling us that.  We don’t mind.

Just make sure that when you’re searching for our official website, or talking about us with your friends you say MiamiBeach411.com =)
