Coinciding with the Bass Museum of Art’s Russian Dreams exhibit, the Cinematheque is showing Alexander Sokurov’s film Aleksandra, and the Bass Museum of Art is running an outdoor screening of Sokurov’s film Russian Ark. The Cinematheque is showing the award winning film Stranded: I’ve Come From a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains (in Spanish with English subtitles), the true story of how 16 of 45 members of a rugby team from Uruguay survived 72 days on a glacier following a plane crash in 1973, at 7:30pm & 9:45pm Friday - Wednesday (except Sunday). Coco Peru and the Miami Gay Men’s Chorus will be at the Colony Theatre Sunday night only. Ongoing shows at the theaters include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)[revised] at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami; Avenue Q at the Broward Center in Ft Lauderdale; and The Drowsy Chaperone at the Kravis Center at West Palm Beach.
