South Beach Local Bus To Replace ElectrowaveThe eye-catching Electrowave shuttle bus will cease operations on Sunday, September 25th at 1am; and the Miami-Dade Transit’s Route W will also cease operations at 8pm, Saturday, September 24th. The two services will now be combined into one route by called the South Beach Local, operated by Miami-Dade Transit. The new service begins at 10am, Sunday, September 25th. The South Beach Local is a bi-directional circular service to the entire South Beach area. The best news is the transit fare will be 25 cents. Several public meetings will be held in September to introduce the new service: September 14 at 5:30 p.m. and September 20 at 4:00 p.m. at Miami Beach City Hall’s Commission Chambers.
