Where to Watch The Super Bowl in Miami Beach

Since We Won't GBe Getting the Actual Game Anytime Soon, Here's The Best Places to Watch It

image

Back when the NFL based the Super Bowl city on things like weather, nightlife, available hotel space and weather, being in Miami for Super Bowl week gave you like a 1 in 4 shot of being here along with the actual game. But now that it’s presumably based on who can exude the strongest swamp stench, the Big Game watch parties are a little harder to find. So if you find yourself in the midst of a South Beach vacation and still wanna see if Peyton Manning can shut Richard Sherman up, here are the 10 best places to gorge yourself on food and beer while you do it.

Tongue and Cheek is letting you eat all the caja China roast pork, Korean BBQ wings, beef cheek sliders, poutine potato skins and Kobe corn dogs you can for $35. And drink all you want for $50. Or BOTH for $75. If you feel like being less gluttonous, all that’s’ available a-la-carte plus $15 buckets of New Belgium Snapshot.

You like bottle girls dressed up as cheerleaders, jumbo lollipop wings and frito pie? All while watching the Super Bowl poolside at the swanky SLS hotel? Then hit up Hyde Beach for all of the above plus $8 frozen mojitos and 2-for-5 dollar ice cream sandwiches.

If the Super Bowl ends up being as bad a game as it was for most of the 90s and 2000s, Monty’s Sunset might be your top choice to watch the game. Yeah, they’ll have the game on plus the usual array of DJs, live bands,  food and drink specials, but you’ll also catch the best sunset in the city, which will be a welcomed distraction if it’s a 28-point game in the 3rd quarter.

The Eden Roc will be setting up 70-inch projection screens by their pool and serving a special, poolside barbecue menu. Or, if the weather is like it was the last 2 times they had the Super Bowl in Miami, you can head into the lobby where they’ll also have a projection screen and drink specials.

Get as close to being at the game as you can without having to actually be in New Jersey – or pay $1500 to sit in the snow – at Haven, where their wrap around screens put you in the middle of the action, and the liquid nitrogen cocktails will make you feel just as cold as you would if you were at the game.

Radio Bar will be serving up FREE FOOD from Pizza Bar, including pizza, wings, meatballs, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs and popcorn (which would be like $12 each at the game) and all you have to do to get them is enjoy the game on their 100-inch projection TV and drink 5-for-$15 buckets and $6 Absolut drinks.

Have some of the city’s best pizza and some of the city’s worst beer at the SoFi Public House, when La Locanda caters the party and $1 PBR drafts and $5 PBR pitchers are the special of the day. There’ll also be plenty of beer pong in case football gets boring (aka you’re a communist) but ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING.

If you want to bet on the Super Bowl, but don’t feel like calling your friend who went to Vegas for the game, giving your credit card to a shady online sports book in Costa Rica, or calling that guy who you may or may not still owe $2500, the Bimini SuperFast will leave out of PortMiami at 9 a.m. and as soon as you hit international waters: BAM! Start betting the over-under number of times you hear the phrase “Peyton Manning’s Legacy,” currently set at 54½.

Problem: You came to south beach to sip drinks in a poolside cabana at the Fontainebleau, and don’t want to stop to watch the Super Bowl. Solution: Book said private cabana for you and your friends, and for a bargain price of $400 get a bottle of Grey Goose, 3 buckets of Coors, and UNLIMITED CHIPS AND SALSA!!!

Wanna visit the rest of Miami but still be able to watch the game with…say…..over 50 different kinds of craft beer and unlimited (yes UN-limited) Korean, Dynamite, Honey Mustard, Spicy BBQ and Buffalo wings?Well after your tourist-mandatory trip to Bayside, head across the street to Biscayne Tavern at the B2 Hotel where all that plus an array of sides like pineapple slaw and smoked brisket chili are yours for a mere $25.
