Introducing: Weekly Columns by Local Experts

Last week, we introduced a new 3-column layout at the Miami Beach 411 Blog. We added the new layout to help readers find content more easily by exposing more of the articles, events, and comments on the main page.

All this week, we’re launching a new series of weekly columns, written by several familiar names in the Miami scene, and a few fresh faces offering new perspectives.

Today’s featured column, “Staying at the Jazz Hostel in South Beach”, by Doug Eames, discusses what it’s really like to sleep at a $21 night hostel.

The columns will cover a wide range of local topics, written by journalists who know what it’s like to live here.

We aim to make Miami as interesting and alive online as is it is offline.
