What’s There To Do? (WMC Recovery)

Yes, the Music Conference is over. Those of you sad about that can check out the WMC Recovery parties offered at Space, with DJs Oscar G in the main room, and Roland, Louis Puig and Lazardi on the Terrace, and at Mansion with DJ Tom Novy this weekend. If you’re not reading this too late, MTV DJs will be throwing a party at the Base Store tonight raising money for their AIDS Walk Miami team. Plenty of other parties going on this weekend can be found on the Event Calendar.

Those of you happy to be done with those partiers, but who can still tolerate a crowd, might want to check out the 13th Annual Riverday at Jose Marti Park Saturday afternoon. If you’d prefer to appreciate the New River in Ft Lauderdale (or just want to compare it to Miami’s), HMSF is offering a Ft Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway & New River Boat Tour Sunday morning. (FYI, HMSF’s Miami River Boat Tour is scheduled for next Saturday).

Dance performances offered this weekend include a Flamenco night with Ballet Flamenco La Rosa and guest artists from Spain; Miami City Ballet’s Program IV at the Arsht Center; and Momentum Dance Company at the Manuel Artime Theatre.

Want to take in a movie? How about Hitchcock’s The Birds? The Cinematheque is showing this tonight, as well as Medicine for Melancholy and Dog Eat Dog (Perro come perro)  this weekend.
