I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (July 11 - 18)Tonight (Tuesday, July 11) there’s a Chassidic Jazz Project concert, combining ancestry with artistry, at 7:30pm. The concert is preceded by a panel discussion at 5:30pm. At the theater, The Mystery of Irma Vep begins at the Actors Playhouse on Wednesday at 8:00pm. The show runs through early September. NBA star Alonzo Mourning’s Zo’s Summer Groove, an annual celebrity charity event to benefit the Children’s Home Society of South Florida and 100 Black Men of South Florida happens Thursday through Sunday. This year includes a golf tournament, comedy show, gala party followed by a concert by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, a block party, and an all-star basketball game. For more sports action, the Marlins host the Astros Thursday through Sunday and host the Washington Nationals starting Monday. Spy Lounge will be having their weekly Thursday and Friday night parties beginning at 9pm. Before you go to Spy Lounge on Friday, stop at Ola for a 5pm - 8pm Happy Hour to wind down from the week and warm up for the party! If swinging is your thing, stop by Miami Velvet on Saturday night for some Retro Mania. Four decades of music from the 70’s through today.
