“Zo” is short for Alonzo Mourning - and this week in Miami belongs to him:

â€¢ Zo’s Comedy Show (7/14)
â€¢ Zo’s Summer Groove Gala (7/15)
â€¢ Zo’s Block Party (7/16)
â€¢ Zo’s All-Star Basketball Game (7/16)

Zo’s Summer Groove is a week of events hosted by Alonzo Mourning Charities. Their website sayz:

“the mission is to improve the lives of at-risk-kids. The majority of funds generated this weekend will benefit underprivileged children in South Florida. The primary receipts include Children’s Society of Florida, Honey Shrine Mentoring Program, 100 Black Men of South Florida, and the Overtown Youth Center.”

I got a phone call from an excited visitor coming from Atlanta.
