Automatic Slims: All good except at the door  

Expectations were high for this bar when arriving for a vacation in South Beach. As a tourist I was very disappointed with the door policy on a Saturday. On their website it said no rope policy, but instead they let anybody in they knew and asked us to pay $20 since it was already late! Sorry, can’t trick a Dutchman like that, so we went to the Playwright and had a good time. Next Wednesday we tried it again and it was not so busy obviously as on Saturday so no doormen. Must say it is a decent bar, nothing out of the ordinary but ok. Prices were very cheap for South Beach and the (rock) music was cool. Live performances and all. South Beach really needs more bars like these, but they can do without that kind of door policy!
