Barton G.: Caution to small parties

Our party of two received fair service until the larger groups started to arrive. At which point, we no longer received any refills of water, new drinks or general service. The only service we received was to give us the dessert menu—with no explanation or real recommendations. “Here are the menus; X is my favorite” is NOT a recommendation or sign of a good waiter. Needless to say, we are never returning.

We arrived on time and were asked to wait 10 minutes. After 20 minutes someone came out to us and ask if we needed help. I started getting a little annoyed. I told him we were asked to wait a few minutes for a table. He left and came back 5 minutes later to tell us he wasn’t sure how long the wait will be, maybe 15 minutes, maybe a 1/2 hour. Of course at this point we were livid. We spoke with the first host and he told us he couldn’t do anything about it. We left and they really didn’t care. Restaurant can’t handle their reservations. They seemed to cater to much older Don Johnson wannabees. Even the men had see through clothes. Sorry don’t want to see grandpa in sheer pajamas!
