By Randy from Miami on January 25, 2010.
As invited guests, both our hosts and Casa Tua’s website created an expectation of an unexcelled restaurant experience to come. What a disappointment. Ambience satisfactory yet conflicted, contrived to feel American southern comfy and exclusive Euro chic at the same moment. Doesn’t work. Menu limited. Very limited. Portions small to moderate. Service almost impeccable, the best compartment of the experience. Specific complaints: no appetizing antipasti or primi plati offering, so none ordered. Veal medallions undercooked to the oint they were cool. Second delivery better but request for no pink center was ignored. Bread service occurred once. Butter and olive oil had to be requested but did appear immediately. With these prices and reputation there was no excuse for overlooking a second bread offering or having to request butter. I will not return nor recommend and I am sad I cannot.
Casa Tua is located at 1700 James Ave., Miami Beach.
