Our family wanted great food but not to get dressed up after a hectic day, so we ordered take-out from The Forge. We got their advertised “greatest steak” and snapper, plus sides and two salads. We have no problem paying for good food. It was awful. Starting with stale, pre-fab croutons on limp lettuce for a Caesar salad, to cold, poorly seasoned and cooked steak. The fish was dry and tasteless, and the tomato mozzarella salad was like worse than something in a fast food place. We only live 3 minutes away on the beach, so there was no reason for the food to be cold.
We were all disappointed to say the least and expected much more as their menu states world’s best and they price their food accordingly! My family has eaten there for 40 years, what happened?
