Barbizon Hotel: Good deal if you aren’t picky about cleanliness  

We arrived at the Barbizon and were met by an extremely accommodating, friendly rental manager. However, the maid service is close to zero, as our condo was disgustingly dirty. We expected something much cleaner because we were supposed to pay a $130 cleaning fee upon checkout, but it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Basically, we spent half of our first day there cleaning (thankfully, the manager waived the cleaning fee for us). The sofa sleeper was broken, but he brought us a pullout bed to make up for it. Overall, I would recommend this place only if you are interested in having a full kitchen - saves you money and time because you’ll be able to prepare some of your own food. Also, the location is great - right across from the beach, three blocks from a CVS, and easy access to all of South Beach (especially with the South Beach local bus with a fare of .25).  However, if you are picky about cleanliness, this is not the place for you!
