Just returned from a weekend at the Marriott in South Beach and cannot wait to return.  From the moment that we arrived, the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. We arrived around 11am expecting to store our luggage until 4pm check in but we were pleased to find out that there was a room ready for us so we were able to check in early.  After check in, we spent the day at the beach. Chair rental is $10 and they will give you towels when you present your room key. The only disappointment the entire stay was the food service on the beach.  he menu was limited and we did not receive what we ordered. Our $13 chicken fingers were supposed to come with fries and bbq sauce, neither of which we received. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The property is new and rooms were recently renovated so everything was in great condition. The location is several blocks south of all the action but the area is being built up. There are several popular clubs and restaurants, all within a block of the hotel. I would recommend the South Beach Marriott to anyone who would like to have a relaxing atmosphere, yet be close to everything that South Beach has to offer.
