Playwright Pub: Marginal food, lousy service

Thought this was the same as the Playwrights Tavern in Manhatten (Excellent). Whoa - not even close. Marginal food and terrible service. The waitress took the order and then did not appear again until she dropped off the bill with the 18% gratuity added in. Good thing it was added it because she would have never gotten a tip otherwise. Food was fair and staff was unfriendly. Atmosphere was good - maybe someone could open a resturant there with a new staff. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid!
Playwright Pub is located at 1265 Washington Ave., Miami Beach.
