I was in Miami for the month of november and my wife and I were walking on Lincoln Rd and decided to try the 59.95 deal which seemed pretty reasonable. We had the skirt steak and fries which was very good and cooked to our liking. What ruined the whole meal was the waiter who came with a bottle of wine which was at least 75 degrees and then fills our glass up to the rim without making me taste it first.I told him it was warm so he brought me a bucket of ice and never came back to pour any in our glass.I then spoke to another waitress (who finished the service)and showed her that on the back of the bottle it was indicated to drink between 60 and 65 degrees and she told me they don’t care. Now I ask for the bill and to my surprize the have added not 15% gratuity like everywhere else in the world but 18%.I find it incredible and unacceptable that we pay 18% gratuity for simple dish carriers who often have trouble uncorking the wine, pouring it properly and serve it at the wrong temperature. When will the United States ever catch up to the rest of the world on this matter?
