The Palms: Service should have been better  

I would never stay at the Palms Hotel again. The desk staff were rude. We waited one hr. for our lunch at the hotel outside restaurant. (we actually got sunburns while waiting, and no we are not fair-skinned) People all around us were getting up from their tables and leaving due to the wait. When lunch finally arrived, my salad was wrong. When we asked about my boyfriend’s sandwich, the waitress replied “what sandwich.” She explained to us that only 4 (as she called them) servants showed up to work that day. It was $88 for 4 drinks, a cold appetizer and a salad that I didn’t order. Later, because we were still hungry, we called room service on three different occasions and the phone just rang continuously. We ended up getting pizza delivered to our room from down the st. The beach view from the room was very nice but that’s about it. The pool and beach were also nice. For the price we paid for the room, I expected a LOT more.

The Palms is located at 3025 Collins Ave., Miami Beach.
