Larios: Shame to see a great place change for the worse  

The older [Miami Beach 411 user] reviews from 2004 reflect the Larios of old. A time that I remember you could have sworn you were in Havana. Well, in the 2 years since I dined at Larios, the place has changed from enthusiastic service to now lethargic, and that goes for most everyone working there. Bottom line, it seems like they would just like to be somewhere else than there serving you. The drinks the last time were what brought you back, that is the tropical delight called a Mojito. Only this time my first drink came in a souvenir glass, reminding me of Burger King soon after the release of a new Star Wars episode. It was also $4 more than the regular drink glass. When I saw that, it was downhill from there. Be careful of your server, they tend to load you up on more side orders than you need. Honestly, you can do far better not too far away from Larios. Shame to see a place change for the worse in a short two years. But 2 years ago this place really had all the right moves.
