Tiramesu restaurant: Surly server  

I had reservations for a group of 8 people at Tiramesu.  When we ordered, I told the server we’d need separate checks, as some were there on business and had to charge on separate cards, some were locals/there on vacation.  He said he couldn’t do that, but that he would separate them later when we paid.  When he brought the check and I asked to pay mine on my business credit card, he changed his mind and said that wasn’t possible. After some argument with us, he said he could provide 3 checks for the group.  We told him that was O.K., and started to tell him who would be on what check, at which point he again changed his mind and said he couldn’t do that either.  I finally asked him for a pen and paper so we could figure it out ourselves and two of us there on business just weren’t able to charge it. It all made for a lousy end to what was until then a great evening with friends. I get better courtesy at the least expensive of restaurants, but I guess at those r!
