Mansion: What a shame in 2006  

I went to Mansion Nightclub with a friend of mine on Tuesday night (June 6, 2006), before there was a line at all. We were dressed very appropriately with no gym shoes or sports attire on. We stood there and no one said anything to us. We then asked the individual who was collecting the money if could we pay to get into the club. We were told that there was a guest list to get into the club. We noticed that other people were coming into to the club without anyone looking at a guest list. We asked the gentleman at the door how their guest list is designed, and he stated that we know who is on the guest list. We later spoke with another gentlemen who stayed next door to our hotel. He stated to us that he had gone to the nightclub two hours after us at around 2:00 a.m. and gained entry right into the nightclub without any mention of a guest list. As a young professional African-American woman who has traveled all over the world, I was very shocked. I have never been treated so nasty and disgusting in my life. It is a real shame that in 2006, certain individuals are still not let into certain establishments.
