Richmond Hotel: Wonderful stay  

I stayed at the Richmond Hotel in July 2007 and LOVED it! It’s a 25 minute drive from the airport and I STRONGLY suggest taking a cab instead of renting a car because the location of the hotel is wonderful (you don’t need a car)! The hotel has a restaurant on the lower level that opens to the pool and hot tub. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and “appetizers” after lunch. The hotel was clean and the pool was lovely. The hot tub was “rather hot.” You can walk past the hot tub through the gates and you’re on the beach! The hotel is located one block from Lincoln Road which has many shops and restaurants. The hotel is also in walking distance to South Beach. It’s also in walking distance to Duck Tours (which I suggest in order to view the city from a different perspective). You can stay at this hotel and spend as much or as little money as you would like… You can dine at Burger King down the street or on the finest local cuisine. The hotel staff was very nice. The room was a nice size for my family although I heard others comment that their rooms were small. The one problem that I had was that our bathroom had ants. After they were sprayed, we were fine. The room also comes with a refrigerator. There’s a work out facility on the lower level. It was a lovely stay, a great location and a fantastic experience. I would definitely visit this hotel again.
