La Factoria "Don't
Go"

Arrived at 7:30 to a nearly empty restaurant. My friend and I each
ordered a Margerita ($9.17 + tax for each). They contained no more
than 4 oz. of liquid. I ordered a crabcake appetizer which was quite
good. For the entree I had the risotto pescatore, which was supposed
to be risotto with clams, mussels, squid and shrimp. It was awful.
The shrimp was the microscopic baby variety. The mussels had been
removed from the shells. There were probably six of them. I saw no
clams, there was an abundance of squid and there was langastino, which
is the ultra cheap seafood used in seafood salad. The waiter was constantly
on his cell phone and unattentive. I thought I'd express my displeasure
by giving only a 10% tip, but when I got the bill, there was an 18%
tip added in!!!!!! Total bill was $102. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!

I am in love with La Factoria! I have been to La Factoria several
times on visits to South Beach. What a wonderful place to take your
time having a drink, dinner and espresso martini (they are to die
for)to top off the night. From a large group to an intimate table
for two, La Factoria is a wonderful dining expreience.
