Hey GMCVB (Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau)—quick question:Is anyone home over there? Because your website seems to be hosting its own after-hours adult film festival on 411.miamiandbeaches.com.

We’re talking hundreds of very... enthusiastic images that have been cheerfully hanging out for over two weeks now. Not exactly the “sun, sand, and family fun” content most people expect when they click a tourism link.

Look, we're flattered you'd name your subdirectory "411", and we get it. Running a multi-million-dollar operation with 70 full-time staff and a hefty chunk of taxpayer money (shout-out to Miami Beach’s annual $5 million contribution) is probably a lot. Meetings, marketing plans, ribbon-cuttings, the whole deal. But somewhere in that busy schedule, someone might want to peek at the subdomain and go, “Huh. That’s... not a beach selfie.”

It’s almost impressive, really. In a city famous for its nightlife, your site managed to out-party everyone—unintentionally, of course.

So here’s the friendly, tongue-in-cheek nudge from one Miami promoter to another:

  • Maybe assign one of those 70 people to do a quick daily “is there porn on our site?” walk-through?
  • Or set up some basic filters so the only “hot” content is actual South Beach sunsets.
  • And when you do the cleanup sweep (which, let’s be honest, should’ve happened two weeks ago), how about a little public wink-and-nod apology? Something like: “Whoops! Our bad. Turns out we’re better at selling Miami than securing subdomains. Back to beaches and mojitos!”

No one’s asking for heads to roll—just a little digital hygiene so the only thing getting “exposed” on your site is Miami’s beautiful coastline.

In the meantime, we’ll keep watching (and occasionally chuckling). Because if the official tourism bureau can’t keep the adult content off its own pages, well... let’s just say bloggers have plenty of material.

Clean it up, GMCVB. The real Miami’s waiting to shine—no filters required.

Sincerely (and with a smirk),

Gus Moore
