Scott Alexander is a photographer, writer, and former South Beach resident. While living in South Beach, Scott immersed himself in the neighborhood’s street life—photographing daily scenes and making friends. His raw, fly-on-the-wall photography is featured on his Flickr account under the username ipanemic, which includes thousands of images from his Miami years.
He also runs personal site Hello I'm Scott and published photography projects such as the book Girls on a Bed. Before focusing on photography full-time, Branch worked in technology and held a mathematics degree; he later left Miami on a cross-country scooter trip and relocated to North Carolina, where he has continued writing personal essays and pursuing English studies.
We are grateful for Scott Branch's vivid writing and raw, unflinching photography that brought the spirit of South Beach to life on Miami Beach 411.
